Carl Mathis
Life is what you make it - seven steps to moving forward

Carl Mathis wasn't prepared for the devastation the loss of his wife would bring to his life. He soon found himself grieving, struggling to make ends meet, and trying to raise his sons, who were also dealing with personal turmoil from the loss of their mother. After months of waiting for someone to rescue him, Carl had to face the inevitable truth--no one was coming. He realized that if he wanted out of the mess his life was becoming, he was going to have to do it himself. Join new author Carl Mathis in this motivational story about one man's struggle to put his life back together. Life Is What You Make It will teach you how to overcome any crippling situation you find yourself in and stimulate personal and spiritual growth by accepting the situation, taking responsibility, conditioning your mind, choosing to make right decisions, building a team, believing, and defining the new normal.

Not Trying In LIfe Is A No, No

It took me one sitting to read Carl Mathis' book LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT, and not just because it is an easy read. The main reason is because it was hard to stop.

The book uses Biblical principles to help us look at where we are in life, how we approach life and its challenges and exactly what do we expect of each day that we are given.

Carl also points out something that many of us have come to know in life either during our own experiences or those that we love: one of the main reasons why people don't try to do better is because they fear failure. What a crippling decision that is! How can you cheat yourself (and by extension others around you) of what could be just because you are afraid of what may or may not happen.

The author invites us to have faith not only in ourselves for something greater than ourselves. By doing this, we will not fear what we don't know. Instead we will embrace the unknown and make the most out of everyday.

LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT is one that you should add to your reading list. In fact, you should get two copies: One to loan to those who might benefit from its lessons, and the other to reflect on from time to time yourself.

"I was very impressed - Life is What You Make It"

I had the pleasure of reading Rev. Carl Mathis book titled. "Life is What You Make It" I was very impressed at his strong will and ability to pick up the pieces that had seem to have fallen apart after losing the love of his life. It gave me such a great respect for him as a man of God to read how he stepped in to his son's lives in order to put them back on track, although the struggle seemed a bit hard at times. But with God's strength and mercy his family are now focused on the most important thing in life, and that is Life IS what YOU make it! Thank you Mr. Mathis for sharing your experience with me and all other readers that have had the opportunity to read about your journey. May God continue to keep you and your family working toward His will and purpose for your lives. Be Blessed!
